China's first artificial cornea comes to market

China's first artificial cornea product was licensed and released onto the market last year, according to China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA).

The artificial cornea has proved effective in treatment of corneal ulcers, said the CFDA in its report released Friday.

China holds intellectual property rights to the product's core technology, the administration said. Endi
