Wolfsburg' s Nicklas Bendtner suspended from training

Xinhua, April 1, 2016 Adjust font size:

Nicklas Bendtner has been suspended from the club' s training sessions, the "Wolves" confirmed in an official statement on Thursday.

"The current situation is unsatisfactory for all of us and it won' t be a permanent solution. Therefore we have held talks with his agents to discuss the issue on Wednesday," Wolfsburg' s general manager Klaus Allofs said.

In the last weeks, Bendtner attracted attention after getting fined for coming to late to the club' s training. According to German media the club is working on annulling the contract with the striker.

The former Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner joined Wolfsburg in June 2014 after putting pen to paper on a three-year deal. The 28-year-old Dane never made the breakthrough, as he remained only a standby player with overall 46 appearances and eight goals since his arrival.

Wolfsburg, who sit on the eight place of the standings, clash with sixth-placed Bayer Leverkusen to open the 28th round of Bundesliga on Friday. Endit
