Serbian Radical Party leader Vojislav Seselj, who has been acquitted by the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) in The Hague, would be banned from entering Croatia according to the law, the Croatian Interior Ministry said on Thursday.
A notice has been sent to all border crossings to stop him from entering Croatia, Croatian News Agency Hina quoted a source at the ministry as reporting.
Seselj tweeted a message to Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic, hinting he might come to Croatia after the ICTY acquitted him of war crimes earlier Thursday, Hina reported.
Croatian Prime Minister Tihomir Oreskovic said in Vukovar, an eastern city of the country, "Let him come and we will arrest him," Hina reported.
Earlier Thursday, the ICTY ruled Seselj was not guilty of all counts of crimes against humanity and war crimes during the Balkan wars in the 1990s. Endit
