Spanish stock market falls 1.66 pct, closes at 8,723 points

The Spanish stock market index Ibex-35 fell 1.66 percent on Thursday to close at 8,723.10 points, down from the 8,870.20 points of Wednesday.

On Thursday session, DIA shares led falls losing 3.91 percent, followed by Banco Popular, Banco Sabadell, Banco Santander, Tecnicas Reunidas, OHL, Telefonica and Endesa that lost 3.01 percent, 2.65 percent, 2.57 percent, 2.31 percent, 2.28 percent, 2.21 percent and 2.15 percent respectively.

FCC shares also fell losing 0.03 percent as well as Acerinox, Amadeus, Ferrovial and Abertis A that lost 0.05 percent, 0.15 percent, 0.18 percent and 0.34 percent respectively.

Meanwhile, Spain's risk premium closed at 128.6 points and Spain's 10-year bond interest rate closed at 1.44 percent. Endit
