At least eight people were killed in a suicide bombing in a hotel in Galkalcyo town in Mudug region in north-central Somalia on Thursday, witnesses said.

The witnesses said the attack at Unlay Hotel left head of finance of Puntland State and five of his bodyguards dead.(Somalia-Suicide Bombing)

MADRID -- Three people were killed on Wednesday when the light aircraft they were flying in crashed close to the Spanish capital city of Madrid, according to local emergency services.

NEW DELHI -- At least 20 people have been killed and more than 150 others injured in a under-construction flyover collapse in the eastern Indian city of Kolkata Thursday.

"The flyover, which has been under construction in the middle of a crowded commercial area in central Kolkata for the past six years, came crashing down around 12.30 p.m. (local time). So far, 20 bodies have been pulled out of the debris," a police official said, on condition of anonymity.(India-Flyover-Deaths )

ANKARA -- Four policemen were killed and 14 others wounded on Thursday in car bomb attack on armored police vehicle in southeastern Turkey, semi-official Anadolu News Agency reported.

Six of the wounded are civilians, other injured are police officers in the bomb attack near a bus terminal in the city of Diyarbakir, according to the agency.(Turkey-blast-1st LD)

BAGHDAD -- A total of 34 Islamic State (IS) militants were killed in air strikes and bomb attacks in Iraq's western province of Anbar on Wednesday, a provincial security source said.

In one attack, three suicide bombers drove their explosive-laden vehicles into the positions of the security forces in Thirthar area north of the IS-held city of Fallujah, some 50 km west of Baghdad. The troops destroyed the vehicles with guided anti-tank missiles and killed the three suicide bombers aboard, a provincial security source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.(Iraq-IS) Endi
