Judd Trump, John Higgins head into final eight of World Snooker China Open

Judd Trump and John Higgins won the eighth-finals to lead the final eight list of the 2016 World Snooker China Open here on Thursday.

The clash between Judd Trump and Marco Fu from Hong Kong, China attracted most attention tonight. Trump finished the match in impressive 57 minutes with two breaks over 100 points and Fu only won the third frame 84-1.

John Higgins and David Gilbert met again after the final of 2015 International Championship in Daqing, China. The "Wizard" beat Gilbert again in a 5-3 victory tonight.

Tian Pengfei cut the 2-4 deficit to tie with Ricky Walden 4-4, however, he still lost after wasting a 41-0 advantage in the final frame. All Chinese players were eliminated after today' s match.

The 2015 World Championship winner Stuart Bingham enjoyed a 5-2 victory over Rod Lawler while the 2006 winner Graeme Dott lost to Noppon Saengkham 1-5.

Stephen Maguire, Mark King and Alfie Burden also joined the fight of quarter finals tomorrow. Endit
