CGN completes deal with Czech counterpart

China General Nuclear Power Corporation (CGN) announced Wednesday that it had reached deal with the CEZ group.

The energy group signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Prague with the Czech energy group on nuclear energy, including procurement, construction, operations and maintenance of power plants.

The two will also explore joint investment opportunities and collaboration in renewable energy.

He Yu, chairman of CGN, said, "CGN is very keen to forge partnerships with leading businesses like CEZ in the Czech Republic to support the country's national new energy strategy."

"We look forward to working with local players across the industry supply chain to promote the application of Hualong 1 Technology to achieve mutual success while contributing to the local economy."
