Judd Trump, Marco Fu to meet in the eighth finals at World Snooker China Open

Xinhua, March 30, 2016 Adjust font size:

Judd Trump and Marco Fu beat their opponents to meet in tomorrow' s eighth finals at 2016 World Snooker China Open here on Wednesday.

As Stuart Carrington withdrew in the first round, Judd Trump got some precious rest before the second round today. The pre-game relaxation led to his 5-1 victory over Jimmy Robertson tonight, which only costed him 80 minutes.

Trump will play against Marco Fu from Hong Kong, China who defeated Robert Milkins 5-0 in a night match.

"The match (with Trump) will definitely be the toughest one so far," said Marco Fu, "I' ll prepare for that."

Today is also the birthday of Fu' s wife. Fu said his victory would be the present for his beloved woman.

"Every time this year I would be playing the China Open," said Fu, "So I' ll try my best to make her happy with a better performance."

Stuart Bingham, John Higgins also joined Fu and Trump to be the last 16 in China Open this year. Endit
