Dollar trades in upper 112 yen range as deals open in Tokyo

The U.S. dollar changed hands in the upper 112 yen range in early deals in Tokyo on Wednesday, with the levels fractionally lower than those seen overnight in New York.

At 9 a.m., the dollar fetched between 112.65-66 yen compared with 112.67-77 yen in New York and 113.69-70 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

The euro, meanwhile, was quoted at 1.1290-1291 dollars and 127.18-20 yen against 1.1286-1296 dollars and 127.28-38 yen in New York and 1.1176-1177 dollars and 127.06-10 yen in late trade on Tuesday afternoon. Endit
