The following are news highlights in Zambia's major media outlets on Tuesday.
-- Zambia's ruling party has described the decision by former vice-president Guy Scott to endorse the candidature of main opposition leader Hakainde Hichilema in this year's general election as a confirmation of his bitterness towards President Edgar Lungu.
On Monday, Scott publicly endorsed the candidature of Hichilema in the August 11 elections, charging that incumbent President Lungu has failed to govern the country. (TIMES OF ZAMBIA)
-- The Zambian government has commended the World Food Program for its school feeding program which has covered 891,000 children in 32 districts.

-- Most Zambian households are struggling to survive due to the escalating cost of living and are having challenges to live dignified lives, an influential social and economic lobby group has said.
