Major music festival to open in Macedonia

Macedonian Composers' Association on Monday announced the start of the Festival Days of Macedonian Music 2016, offering 11 concerts in 16 days that aims to promote Macedonian music at home and abroad.

A total of 33 compositions, 14 of them signed by Macedonian authors, will have their world premiere.

The festival will open with the Sound of Macedonia concert at the Macedonian Opera & Ballet venue on March 30.

The Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestra will close the event on April 14 with a concert honoring the 80th birthday of prominent composer Aleksandar Dzambazov. Enditem
