Cillessen, Klaassen and Sneijder out for England match Netherlands

Xinhua, March 28, 2016 Adjust font size:

The Netherlands will travel to London on Monday for the friendly against England without injured Jasper Cillessen, Wesley Sneijder and Davy Klaassen, the Dutch football association KNVB announced on Sunday.

Sneijder suffered a hamstring injury on Friday against France in Amsterdam (3-2 loss), while goalkeeper Cillessen (Ajax) broke his nose during training on Sunday in Alkmaar after a clash with Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.

Ajax midfielder Klaassen has knee problems. Dutch head coach Danny Blind called up Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Michel Vorm and PSV midfielder Marco van Ginkel as replacements.

The Netherlands are already without injured captain Arjen Robben on Tuesday at Wembley stadium. Under head coach Blind the Dutch team lost four of its last six matches. Enditem
