Albanian police stop six Syrian refugees crossing border illegally

Albanian police forces stopped on Saturday six Syrian refugees in Kakavija, Albanian southern border with Greece and arrested an Albanian citizen for helping them crossing the border.

According to police sources, the refugees were detected through thermal vision cameras near the place called "Mulliri" in Kakavija.

They entered illegally from the Green Border with Greece with the intension to moving towards Gjirokastra region, south Albania.

Local TV Top Channel reported that Zija Collaku, 47, from Delvina region, was arrested for illegally crossing the border in exchange of 300 euros (about 336 U.S. dollars).

The Albanian police declared that the Syrian citizens were returned back to Greece. Endit
