The trade and economic cooperation between Armenia and Argentina is at an important stage of development, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said here Thursday at a meeting on the development of bilateral ties.

According to him, Argentina is the fifth country in terms of the volume of foreign investments in Armenia, exceeding 400 million U.S. dollars.

"The two countries have developed a pretty good relationship in different directions, which is primarily due to the active work of the Armenian community in Argentina," said Sargsyan.

The president also highlighted Armenia International Airports, Converse Bank, and other companies as successful examples of Armenian-Argentine business cooperation.

Armenian Ambassador to Argentina Alexan Harutyunyan, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan, Deputy Speaker of Parliament Eduard Sharmazanov, Minister of Economy Artsvik Minasyan, attended the meeting. Enditem
