Brussels airport says passenger flights suspended until Sunday

Brussels airport on Thursday announced its passenger flights would be suspended until March 27 following the deadly suicide bombings on Tuesday in the aiport's departure hall.

"Passenger flights into and out of Brussels airport are suspended until Sunday, March 27 included," the airport tweeted.

"Because the forensic investigation is still underway, we currently have no access to the building. Until we can assess the damage, it remains unclear when we can resume operations," the airport said on its website.

Twin explosions went off at the departure hall of the Brussels airport on Tuesday morning and later another bombing was reported in a metro station close to the European Union complex. The terror atrocity has caused at least 31 deaths. Endit
