The following are news highlights of Ethiopia's major media outlets on Thursday.

-- Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn has disclosed plans to reform the political parties'national joint council.

During discussions with members of the council on Wednesday, Hailemariam said the council would be restructured to allow for better freedom of ideas. (Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation/EBC)

-- Metehara Sugar Factory said it has provided aid for El-Nino affected Ethiopian farmers and pastoralists around the factory.

--Ethiopian Airlines has been chosen as the Best Airline in Nigeria by the National Association of Nigerian Travel Agents (NANTA) on 17 March 2016.

The ceremony took place at the Association's 40th annual general meeting at Premier Hotel Ibadan.
