Germany's benchmark DAX index rises

The benchmark DAX index at Frankfurt Stock Exchange on Wednesday advanced and closed at 10,022.93 points.

The euro went weaker after the terror attacks in Brussels. The DAX index went up slightly by 32.93 points, or 0.33 percent.

Infineon Technologies, a semiconductor producer, topped the list of risers with an increase of 1.97 percent.

The sport company adidas gained 1.78 percent. Henkel, which operates in three areas including laundry and home care, beauty care and adhesive technologies, advanced by 1.72 percent. Linde, an industrial gas company, climbed by 1.52 percent. Fresenius, a health care company, rose by 1.47 percent.

On the other hand, Deutsche Bank lost 2.87 percent and Commerzbank shrank by 1.98 percent. RWE slipped by 0.55 percent. BMW dropped by 0.39 percent and Thyssenkrupp went down by 0.38 percent.

Daimler was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 334.46 million euros (around 375.57 million U.S. dollars). Endit
