Austria chancellor says to support Belgium following Brussels attacks

Austrian Chancellor Werner Faymann on Tuesday said his country would offer necessary support for Belgium in a statement on the deadly attacks in Brussels.

The Austrian chancellor said Europe will move closer together, saying "today is the day of mourning." He noted Austria would offer necessary support for Belgium.

Vienna reinforced the security in Vienna airport following the blast attacks in Brussels on Tuesday that killed at least 34 people.

By the end of last year, Austrian government received an intelligence service which warned European capitals of the possibility of a shooting or bomb attack before 2016 New Year. Endit
