Croatia steps up security after Brussels attacks

Croatia has raised its security level by one level to three following the latest terrorist attacks in Brussels, police directorate Mladen Pemper said on Tuesday.

The security level has been raised to three of a total of four levels -- the same security level as the one in force after the terrorist attacks in Paris in November last year, he said.

Security measures have been strengthened, particularly at airports and border crossings, he added.

However, the situation in Croatia was stable, Pemper said. Endit
