Botswana lady to attend Yenching Global Symposium in China

Xinhua, March 22, 2016 Adjust font size:

Chairperson of the Botswana Society for Human Development Sharon Tshipa left to China on Tuesday to attend the Yenching Global Symposium.

Tshipa will join other selected delegates coming from 36 countries and six continents where they will join initial cohort of Yenching Scholars at Peking University in Beijing for a three-day conference.

Tshipa was selected out of more than 1,500 applicants as one of 48 international delegates for this year's symposium.

Each delegate was selected because of the sincere belief that they would bring their amazing ideas, thoughts, and aspirations to the table as the symposium sits down for three days of panel discussions and breakout sessions.

The inaugural Yenching Global Symposium will bring together people from different fields and across generations with a common interest and the three day event will comprise engaging lectures and interactive session on China's impact on the world and influence the world has on China.

The conference to be held from March 24 to 26 will feature prominent Chinese scholars along with leading professionals from a wide range of fields. Endit
