BMW to recall 6,109 vehicles in China

Xinhua, March 21, 2016 Adjust font size:

China's top quality watchdog said on Monday that luxury car maker BMW will recall its imported Mini series in China starting from April 8.

The recall was due to a fuel pump problem that could cause engine failure when driving, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said in a statement.

The vehicles were produced between June 12, 2015 and Nov. 19, 2015. The recall affects a total of 6,109 vehicles in the Chinese mainland, the statement said.

The BMW China Automotive Trading Co., Ltd. will fix the problem for recalled cars free of charge, the statement said. Endit
