The Chinese Billiard World Championships was proved to be an upsetting stage for snooker players after Mark Williams and Graeme Dott both lost here on Friday.
The first day witnessed home favorite Ding Junhui crashing out 9-6 at the hands of Australian Neil Robertson, who was also eliminated 9-0 for being 15 minutes late for next game. John Higgins and Judd Trump were the other first-day big-name casualties.
In Friday's games, former world champion Dott lost to Zheng Yubo 10-13 after Wang Can defeated Mark Williams 13-4.
Michael Hill, who beat Ding in his Chinese Billiard debut on Thursday, became one of the last eight in men's group.
Women's world snooker winner Kelly Fisher spent four and half hours defeating Wang Meiyu 11-10 and went on to beat Chinese Zhou Doudou 11-9 on Friday.
The World Championships will continue on Saturday with men's quarterfinals and women's semifinals. Endi
