Israeli gunfire kills 2 Palestinians in West Bank tension

Israeli soldiers killed on Friday two Palestinians after attempts of stabbing and car run over attacks south of the West Bank city of Bethlehem, Israel Radio and Palestinian medical sources said.
Israel Public Radio reported on Friday afternoon that Israeli soldiers killed a Palestinian young man who tried to stab an Israeli soldier near the crossroad of Gosh Itrzion south of Bethlehem.
The radio also said that Israeli soldiers killed a Palestinian woman who drove a car and tired to drive it over Israeli soldiers at the same crossroad between the West Bank cities of Bethlehem and Ramallah.
Earlier on Friday, Israeli police forces arrested two Palestinian young men in east Jerusalem for alleged attempts of carrying out stabbing attacks, adding that the police found two knives with the young men.
The Palestinian health ministry confirmed in a press statement that two Palestinians, a young man and a woman were killed by Israeli soldiers' gunfire south of Bethlehem, but said the identity of the two was still unknown.
Official Palestinian and Israeli figures show that since the outbreak of tension in the Palestinian territories between Israel and the Palestinians in early October, 199 Palestinians and 34 Israelis were killed. Endit
