China's Macao SAR, Republic of Belarus sign visa-free deal

Authorized by the central government, the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) government signed a mutually visa-free agreement with the government of the Republic of Belarus on Friday.

The deal was inked by Chan Hoi Fan, secretary for Administration and Justice, and Burya Viktor, the ambassador of the Republic of Belarus in Beijing.

The agreement assures that Macao residents holding valid passports or valid travel permits issued by the SAR government will be exempted from visa requirements when entering the Republic of Belarus for a stay of maximum 30 days. The effective date will be announced later.

A total of 122 countries or regions have agreed to grant visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to the passport holders issued by Macao SAR, while 13 countries have agreed to grant to the Macao SAR Travel Permit holders visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to their regions. Endit
