Women snapping up Olympic tickets at AMBC Qualifier

Nearly all the Olympic tickets up for grabs at the women's American Boxing Confederation (AMBC) Olympic qualifier, being held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, have been won, local media announced on Thursday.
The winners of the 51 and 75 kilograms women's category were decided on Thursday.
Colombia's Ingrit Valencia defeated United States' Virginia Fuchs in a tough fight in the 51 kilograms category. With this result, Valencia got a ticket for Rio de Janeiro 2016, along with Canada's Mandy Bujold from the same category.
The most eagerly awaited fight was between U.S. Claresa Shields and Yenebier Guillen from the Dominican Republic, in the 75 kilogram category. Both female boxers have been world champions and have met in the ring on several occasions previously.
This time Shields gave a better performance and defeated the Dominican athlete.
Also in the 75-kg category, Canadian Ariane Fortin grabbed a ticket to Rio after defeating Brazil's Andreia de Oliveira 2-1.
The 60-kg category ticket has still to be defined. The final will take place between Mikaela Mayer from the United States and Mexico's Victoria Torres.
Earlier on Thursday Mayer defeated Puerto Rican Kiria Tapia and Torres defeated Argentine Dayana Sanchez, both with a 3-0 result.
Meanwhile, in men's category, Cuba won eight tickets in total to Rio with Erislandy Savon (91kg) and Leinier Pero (+91kg) victories on Thursday.
Savon defeated Brazil's Juan Goncalvez in the semifinals, while Pero defeated Clayton Laurent.
In the 75 kilograms men's category, Mexico's Misael Rodriguez defeated Ecuador's Marlo Delgado. Also, Charles Comwell from the U.S. earned a ticket in the same category.
In the 49 kilograms men's category, Colombia's Yuberjen Martinez and Nico Hernandez from the U.S. also got tickets to Rio. Endi
