Gunmen opened fire at a hotel on Sunday in Ivory Coast's beach resort of Grand-Bassam, about 40 km east of the capital Abidjan, witnesses said.

It is still unclear how many people were killed in the shooting.

Security forces have arrived at the scene, witnesses said.

The resort is popular with westerners.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack. Endit
