Four more people have been murdered on a farm near Johannesburg, indicating the escalating of farm attacks in South Africa, a civil rights organization said on Saturday.

The four victims were murdered between Wednesday and Thursday, according to AfriFourm. A 73-year-old man, who was visiting South Africa, was also among the killed, police said, adding that no arrests have been made. (SAfrica-Murder)

ROME -- Police in Rome early on Saturday arrested one suspect and issued warrants for two other suspected members of a terrorist organization, media reported.

Police arrested a 26-year-old Macedonian, reportedly named Abdula Kurtishi. The man is said to have escaped from prison in his country and was travelling with false documents, ANSA news agency reported. (Italy-Terror Suspects)

SAN FRANCISCO -- A strong earthquake struck off Saturday Atka Island in southwest Alaska, the northern most U.S. state.

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said the tremor, with a preliminary magnitude of 6.4, hit about 32 km deep at 8:06 local time, some 65 km off Atka in the Andreanof Islands, or 1,815 km west of Anchorage, the biggest city of Alaska.

There has been no reports of injuries from the sparsely populated islands. (US-Alaska-Quake)

ISLAMABAD -- At least seven laborers were killed, 10 injured and 45 others trapped when a coal mine collapsed in Pakistan's northwest tribal area of Orakzai agency on Saturday night, local media reported.

Urdu TV channel ARY News said that over 60 people were working in the mine when it caved in due to heavy rains in Doli area of Orakzai Agency, a tribal area located near the border with Afghanistan. (Pakistan-Coal Mine Accident)
