Canada's snowboarder Max Parrot entered the big air final of snowboarding world championships held at Yabuli ski resort of northeast China on Friday, while China's Zhang Yiwei was disqualified for the final.

Men's big air qualification and semifinals were contested on Friday. Parrot scored 97 points with his beautiful jumps, taking first place in the semifinals. Parrot's compatriot Sebastien Toutant and Finnish rider Peetu Piiroinen finished second and third with 95 and 91.66 points respectively.

The only Chinese rider, Zhang, got 73.66 points in the qualification, which earned him a place in the semifinals, but a lacklustre performance cost him a final place with just 57.66 points.

Snowboard world championships is the top event organized by TTR Pro Snowboarding and World Snowboard Federation with disciplines of halfpipe, slopestyle and big air being featured. Endit
