Xinhua, March 11, 2016 Adjust font size:

Ukraine's grain exports are expected to hit a new record high of 37 million tons during the current marketing year, which runs between July 1, 2015 and June 30, 2016, the country's Agriculture Minister Olexiy Pavlenko said Thursday.

"We plan to end this marketing year with record high exports of 37 million tons," Pavlenko said during the 12th Dragon Capital investment conference in Kiev.

According to the Agriculture Ministry, since the start of the current marketing year, Ukraine has shipped abroad about 27.5 million tons of grain, in particular 11.9 million tons of wheat and 11.4 million tons of corn.

In the 2014-2015 marketing season, Ukraine's grain exports rose 7.4 percent year-on-year to 34.8 million tons. Endit
