Israeli forces arrest 33 Palestinians overnight

The Palestinian Prisoner's Club (PPC) said Thursday that 33 Palestinians were arrested from different West Bank cities overnight.
The PPC said in an emailed press statement that the arrests took place during military forces raids into several West Bank cities under Palestinian control according to the Oslo Accords.
According to the interim Oslo Accords signed between the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and Israel in 1993, the West Bank is divided into three areas: A, B and C, with area A being under Palestinians control, B being under Israeli security control and Palestinian administrative management, and C being under full Israeli control.
Local sources added that Israeli forces raided into Qalandia Refugee camp, near Ramallah, and into houses of two assailants who carried out a shooting in Jerusalem Wednesday.
The Israeli public radio said that the military forces and the Israeli Civil Administration (ICA) of the West Bank scanned assailants homes in preparation to demolish them.
In a nearby town of Bir Nabala, limited clashes broke out between Palestinians and Israeli forces during a raid into the town, where the Israeli public radio reported that arms and nearly 200,000 Israeli shekels (about 51,300 U.S. dollars) were seized during house searches.
The early hours of Thursday morning also witnessed settlers spraying threats on Palestinians houses in the West Bank.
Local sources said that Jewish settlers sprayed threats and insults on walls of a Palestinian family's house in the predominantly Christian town of Al-Khader, near Bethlehem.
The sources told Xinhua that settlers from the nearby settlement sprayed slogans such as "death to Arabs" and "Leave" and hurled stones on a house.
Jewish ultra-nationalists have for years vandalized or torched Palestinian property, Islamic and Christian holy sites and cemeteries, under so called "price-tag" attacks that seek retribution for Israeli moves that settlers perceive as favoring Palestinians.
A recent wave of violence between Palestinians and Israel broke out last October, killing over 190 Palestinians and 34 Israelis, according to Palestinian official statistics. Endit
