British FTSE 100 rises 0.34 pct on Wednesday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Wednesday rose by 0.34 percent, or 20.88 points, to 6,146.32 points.

Share price of Prudential increased by 2.90 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Glencore, SSE, Berkeley Group Holdings and Royal Dutch Shell A increased by 2.50 percent, 2.30 percent, 2.11 percent and 1.84 percent respectively.

Burberry Group led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 6.70 percent, following by Standard Chartered (2.29 percent), Barclays (2.21 percent), Aberdeen Asset Management (1.89 percent) and St James's Place (1.70 percent). Endit
