Chinese shares open lower Wednesday

Chinese stocks opened lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 2.14 percent, at 2,839.41 points.

The smaller Shenzhen index opened 2.13 percent lower at 9,525.25 points. The ChiNext Index, tracking China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, was down 1.99 percent to open at 1,962.28 points. Endi
