New Zealand FM to discuss trade, security in Singapore

Xinhua, March 7, 2016 Adjust font size:

Trade and security issues will be top of the agenda when New Zealand Foreign Minister Murray McCull visits Singapore this week.

McCully said Monday his trip to meet Singapore Foreign Minister Dr Vivian Balakrishnan would be his first visit to Singapore since the country's general elections in September last year.

"Singapore is one of our top export markets with two way trade reaching 2.8 billion NZ dollars (1.9 billion U.S. dollars) in 2015," McCully said in a statement.

"New Zealand and Singapore share a warm friendship based on trade and economic links, extensive defense ties, and regional cooperation." Enditem
