China to field strong team at FINA Diving World Series opener

Olympic champions He Zi and Qiu Bo will lead a star-studded field from China at the opening leg of the 2016 FINA Diving World Series in Beijing next week, organizers said on Sunday.

The 2016 World Series opener will take place from March 11 to 13 at the National Aquatics Center, also known as the "Water Cube". The three-day competition will feature 10 events: women's and men's 3m springboard, 10m platform, 3m springborad synchro and 10m platform synchro.

Apart from the Chinese stars, several internationally-recognized divers like Thomas Daley, Ilya Zakharov and David Boudia will also be competing in the Chinese capital. Endit
