Slovakia's Smer-SD party wins general elections

The left-wing Smer-SD party won the general elections in Slovakia, but would lose majority in the 150-seat National Council, preliminary results showed Sunday.
After 91 percent of the ballots have been counted, Smer-SD, the conservative ruling party of Prime Minister Robert Fico, garnered 28.68 percent, followed by Liberal SaS with 11.54 percent.
OLaNO-NOVA and Slovak National Party won 10.77 percent and 8.74 percent respectively.
Voter turnout was 60 percent. Endi
