Mozambique's civil aviation authorities said they will discuss with a Malaysian team on Saturday in Maputo the investigation of the plane debris found off the country's coast.
Joao de Abreu, director of Mozambique's National Civil Aviation Institute, told Xinhua over the phone on Friday that his institute would like to hand over the debris to the expert team from Malaysia. (Mozambique-Malaysia-Plane Debris)

BRUSSELS -- The European Union on Friday decided to expand restrictive measures against the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), adding 16 people and 12 entities to the list of targets subject to EU sanctions.
According to the Council of the EU, the decision transposes the new listings imposed by United Nations Security Council (UNSC) Resolution 2270 adopted on March 2 in response to DPRK's nuclear test and rocket launch on Jan. 6 and Feb. 7 this year. (EU-Sanctions-DPRK)

UNITED NATIONS -- The UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights has documented a total of 3,081 civilians killed in Yemen since March 26, 2015, a UN spokesman told reporters on Friday.
In February 2016 alone, at least 168 civilians were killed and 193 injured, around two thirds of them by the Saudi-led Arab coalition airstrikes, deputy UN spokesman Farhan Haq said at a daily news briefing. (UN-Yemen-Civilians)

UNITED NATIONS -- The United Nations welcomes the final results of the presidential elections in the Central African Republic, in which Faustin-Archange Touadera won, said a UN spokesman at Friday's news briefing.
