Chinese shares close mixed Thursday

China's stocks closed mixed on Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.35 percent, at 2,859.76 points.

The smaller Shenzhen index closed 0.04 percent lower at 9,762.01 points. The ChiNext Index, which tracks China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, lost 0.52 percent to close at 2,007.08 points. Endi
