Liaoning missed the opportunity to move into the final with a clean sheet as they lost Game 3 at home against Guangdong 96-97 in the best-of-five semifinals of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Wednesday.

Guangdong, who lost the two opening games, controlled Game 3 until the last quarter.

When guard Zhou Zhandong of Guangdong was fouled out, Lester Hudson of Liaoning eventually found the net. The All-Star guard of Memphis who struggled in the first three quarters, bombed 19 points in the last quarter, but was still not enough to lift his team to the finals in advance.
