Future Chinese domination in ACL a certainty: Aussie football coach

The spending in the Chinese Super League (CSL) will likely result in a Chinese domination of the AFC Champions League (ACL), according to Graham Arnold, a leading coach from Australia's A-League on Wednesday.

Ahead of his side's clash with Guangzhou Evergrande, Sydney FC coach Arnold said he wasn't overly concerned by the rise of the Chinese powers, likening it to the sustained success of the perennially top clubs in Europe, such as Bayern Munich and Barcelona.

Arnold praised the recent investments in the CSL, citing the influx of world-class coaches. "Guangzhou Evergrande has led the way in the past few years with Marcello Lippi before Scolari," he said of the Chinese side's coaching history.
