Nigeria FA considers to recall former players

Xinhua, March 2, 2016 Adjust font size:

Nigeria's football governing body is in talks with Vincent Enyeama and Emmanuel Emenike, former goalkeeper and striker respectively, over possible return to Super Eagles.

The aim was to ensure that the country assembles its best legs against Egypt, Super Eagles interim coach Samson Siasia said in Abuja, the country's capital city on Tuesday.

Nigeria has crucial Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying matches against the Pharaohs of Egypt this month.

Siasia said the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) were exploring every avenue capable of bringing success, adding that it had taken steps to facilitate the players' return to the team.

The Olympic silver medal winning coach, however, said he was not under any pressure to beat Egypt. Enditem
