Belarusian tourist found dead at tourism site in Vietnam

Xinhua, February 29, 2016 Adjust font size:

A tourist from Belarus was found dead at the site of the Pongour Fall in Da Lat City in Vietnam's Central Highlands Lam Dong Province on Monday.

The body of the 26-year-old male tourist was found at a 7-meter deep lake at the site, Vietnam's state-run news agency VNA reported.

Earlier on Sunday, the tourist had been taken to the site by a group of local men on motorbike. The tourist had signs of being drunk when arriving. The Belarusian went to the site without buying ticket as requested, the management board of the tourism site was quoted by VNA as saying. Later, the tourist was reportedly slipped from a cliff into a lake.

Located in Duc Trong district, 50 km south of Da Lat, the 40-meter-high Pongour Fall is considered the wildest and most mighty waterfall in the Central Highlands.

Earlier on Friday, three foreign tourists from Britain died while taking part in an adventure tour at Datanla Waterfall in Da Lat. Endit
