Indian stocks close lower

Indian stocks gyrated between gains and losses as Finance Minister Arun Jaitley presented the Union Budget 2016 on Monday, before finally ending in the negative territory in a broad signal that the much-awaited event didn't lift the mood of investors.

The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex closed at 23,002.00, 152.30 points or 0.66 percent down from the previous close of 23,154.30, with a turnover of 2,140.67 crore rupees (about 314.8 million U.S. dollars). Endit
