China to issue regulation on judicial staff protection

China will release a regulation on judge and prosecutor protection, according to the Commission for Political and Legal Affairs of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee.

The new regulation aims to safeguard judicial staff and their families.

Those who seek revenge through slander, coercing or false testimony shall be subject to punishments and charges, according to the draft regulation.

In high-risk cases, such as those that concern terrorism or organized crime, measures such as anonymity and court security guards, shall be provided. Endi
