Nigeria appoints new Super Eagles coach

Xinhua, February 27, 2016 Adjust font size:

Nigeria's soccer governing body on Friday appointed former player Samson Siasia as new head coach of the Super Eagles.

The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) made the announcement at the end of the federation's technical committee meeting on Friday.

Siasia's appointment followed the resignation of Sunday Oliseh, a former national team captain as Eagles coach on Friday morning, citing breach of contract on the part of the country's football federation responsible for his decision.

Siasia will be assisted by Salisu Yusuf and Emmanuel Amuneke, the FA said. Endit
