The first case of a patient suspected of being infected with Zika virus in Slovakia is confirmed by the Public Health Authority on Thursday.

The patient is a woman hospitalized in Presov in Eastern Slovakia, who returned from South America with symptoms of unspecified virus without serious development.

Cenkova wasn't able to tell when the test results could come in.
