India submits list of 11 Pakistani terrorists to UN

Xinhua, February 25, 2016 Adjust font size:

India has reportedly said that it submitted to the United Nations a list of 11 terrorists from Pakistan-based militant groups responsible for terrorism in this country.

"On February 18, 2016, a fresh submission of 11 individuals and one organization linked to terrorism in India, has been submitted to the United Nations Sanctions Committee," Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj told the Parliament Wednesday.

The minister also said that India already has inked extradition treaties with 40 countries and extradition pacts with nine countries.

"It's the policy of the government to sign extradition treaties, agreements and arrangements with as many countries as possible to bring back from abroad fugitive criminals wanted in India for various criminal offences, including those relating to terrorism," she said. Endit
