British FTSE 100 increases 1.47 pct on Monday

FTSE 100 Index, the British benchmark stock market gauge, Monday increased by 1.47 percent, or 87.50 points, to 6,037.73 points.

Share price of Glencore increased by 11.32 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Anglo American, BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto and Antofagasta increased by 10.79 percent, 8.55 percent, 8.43 percent and 7.49 percent respectively.

Berkeley Group Holdings led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 4.85 percent, followed by Taylor Wimpey (4.74 percent), Barratt Developments (4.45 percent), Persimmon (4.32 percent) and Kingfisher (3.39 percent). Endit
