Some 14 people were killed and 11 others injured as a suicide bombing rocked Afghanistan's eastern province of Parwan on Monday, a provincial government spokesman said.

PREAH SIHANOUK, Cambodia -- Two Chinese guided-missile frigates docked at the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port on Monday for a five-day goodwill visit to Cambodia.

SRINAGAR, Indian-controlled Kashmir -- Indian troops killed two militants on Monday to end a 48-hour stand-off at a government building in restive Indian-controlled Kashmir, officials said.

The fierce gunfight ended with the killing of two militants, who engaged troops throughout the day.

"The remaining two militants at government building have been killed today and thereby gunfight has ended," India's paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) spokesman Bhavesh Chaudhury told Xinhua. (India-Kashmir-Gunfight)

SEOUL -- South Korea on Monday urged Japan to stop provocations over disputed islets lying halfway between the two countries as Japan sent a senior government official to attend the controversial "Takeshima Day" event.
