Chinese shares open higher Monday

Chinese stocks opened higher on Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 1 percent, at 2,888.6 points.

The smaller Shenzhen index opened 1.26 percent higher at 10,290.05 points. The ChiNext Index, tracking China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, gained 1.09 percent to open at 2,235.17 points. Endi
