Thai princess arrives in Cambodia for visit to boost ties

Thailand's Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn arrived here on Monday morning for a 3-day visit to boost relations in education and health between the two neighbouring countries.

The princess was greeted by Cambodian Education Minister Hang Chuon Naron and other dignitaries upon her arrival at the Phnom Penh international airport.

According to the official schedule, Sirindhorn will meet with Prime Minister Hun Sen at the Peace Palace before attending several ceremonies, including the inauguration of a health centre in northeastern Rattanakiri province, the hand-over ceremony of the solar cell building at the Kampong Chheuteal Institute of Technology in central Kampong Thom province, and the groundbreaking ceremony for the Kampong Speu Institute of Technology in western Kampong Speu province.

She is also scheduled to pay a courtesy call on King Norodom Sihamoni on Tuesday. Enditem
